Kolkata: An engineering student of Jadavpur University received death threats after he became a victim of a sustained ragging campaign for the second time in two years. Siddhant Mundra said that he received two letters threatening that he would be killed if he didn't drop out of the university.
The student, who hails from Murshidabad district took admission in 2011 but quit after intense ragging. When assured by the university he retook admission in 2012, but the harassment did not stop.
The family of the victim alleged that neither the university authorities nor the local police station accepted written complaints.
