New Delhi: Union Agriculture minister Sharad Pawar's daughter and member of Parliament Supriya Sule has claimed that her family has no links with the Indian Premier League.
"My husband or my family have nothing to do with either the IPL bidding process or the IPL itself," she told CNN-IBN.
"I don't believe anybody in the Congress is gunning for us - the only association we have is that me, my husband and my kids are avid cricket watchers."
She also rubbished the allegations against NCP leader Praful Patel calling them untrue.
Sule also defended Pawar saying, "My father not only defended Modi, he also defended Shashi Tharoor because he wanted to promote cricket in Kerala."
Meanwhile, BCCI President Shashank Manohar will arrive in Delhi on Tuesday to meet Pawar and ask him not to try and defend IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi, sources have told CNN-IBN.
However, Pawar said that he was not aware that the BCCI chief was coming to see him. "I had read there was a BCCI meeting to be held on April 25-26. I have no notice about it. I have nothing to do with the IPL mess, I'm not aware that Shashank Manohar is coming to see me," he told CNN-IBN.
