The Western Railway honoured Asha Bhonsle with a model of a pure gold steam engine as she used to travel in a local train in her struggling days. The veteran singer did take a trip down memory lane to her local train days
“I used to meet so many people in the train, I have also seen the time when Sindhi refugees who moved in from Pakistan” Says the music icon.
For many who wanted hear her sing, Asha tai's impromptu performances turned out to be special to for them.
She even had a word of advice to the high and mighty of Mumbai's lifeline.
“When I was young, the trains were really clean. And if they become as clean as back then, I will start taking the locals again” She adds.
