Fifty-five-year-old actor Indravardhan Purohit popularly known as Chotu Dada has a unique connection with Krrish.
Chotu Dada was the man behind Jadoo in the film Koi Mil Gaya. However, Jadoo's absence in Krrish has left him a little disappointed.
"If I would have been in the film, I would have been very happy that I am again working with Rakesh Roshan. I am sure in the sequel there was not anything for me otherwise he definitely would have given me a chance," Purohit said.
Interestingly, not many know that Jadoo’s role was played by a real actor.
Infact at the time of Koi Mil Gaya's release, Rakesh Roshan had claimed that Jadoo was entirely created by a special effects team.
Chotu Dada has pictures that prove otherwise. The little man even faced respiratory problems after the shooting of Koi Mil Gaya because of the long hours he spent wearing the Jadoo costume.
Off camera he says no one's helped him with his medical expenses. But on camera he's hesitant to discuss the issue.
"I am sorry. No comments," Purohit said.
Strange are the ways of Bollywood. The superhero leaps, flies, jumps and saves everyone but some people are left, just a little scared.
