New Delhi/London: After foiling a major terror plot to blow up various airlines, British authorities have issued certain dos and don’ts for air travellers in the United Kingdom.
- Passengers can carry pocket-sized wallet or purse, their passport and travel tickets.
- Prescription medicines are allowed on board, but medicines in liquid form can be taken on flight only if they are verified as essential.
- Glasses, sunglasses and medical items like diabetic kits have also been given the go-ahead.
- Baby food and milk can be taken on board only after being tasted by the accompanying passenger.
- Sanitary items for women and infants, unboxed tissues, handkerchiefs and keys have also been given the green light.
- But restriction has been placed on liquids and gels, including shampoos, toothpastes, perfumes and other toiletries.
- There's also an in-flight embargo on hand luggage and laptops. Travellers will also not be allowed to carry contact lens solution and holders.
- Spectacle-case and electric key fobs are some of the other items that have been blacklisted for the time being.
