London: Jennifer Aniston and her former Friends co-star Courtney Cox shared a kiss on the TV show Dirt and they were so confident that the media would blow it out of proportion as a lesbian lip-lock that they placed bets on how long it would take for the first news to appear.
Aniston recently made a guest appearance on Cox's new show as a rival magazine editor who is a lesbian and at the end of the show they shared a goodbye kiss.
Aniston told contactmusic.com that they had a good laugh when the small kiss became a big deal in the media. She said: "I think I won a bet. I told Courtney, 'How many days will it take to come out? 'Lesbian kiss! Lip-lock!' It was a record—about a week.
"It was touted as a passionate lip-lock. It's a good-bye kiss! I don't honestly think people want to see Rachel (Aniston's character in 'Friends') and Monica (Cox's character in the series) have at it!"
