Mumbai: Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is making a film on five-times world boxing Champion Mary Kom, who has no favourites when it comes to playing her on the big screen.
Omang Kumar will direct the film, while Bhansali will back it as a producer. "I don't have any idea. The director and producer will decide. They will choose the best one. I am thankful to them," she said when asked which actress she would like to play her in the film.
Kom said that she follows Bollywood movies, but not regularly and added: "I like all of them and I don't have any favourites."
Talking about how the idea of a film on her life was conceived, she said: "I am very happy that Sanjayji is making the movie. Last year Omang, the director had come to meet me in Manipur to make a film on me. I was very surprised. I don't believe that all this is happening. Last year he told me he will get a good producer, so we got Sanjay sir."
The Olympic bronze medallist feels that the movie will motivate youngsters. The 29-year-old will appear in one of the episodes of Life Ok's show 'Hindustan Ke Hunarbaaz', starting in October, to encourage the contestants. Talented children between the age group of six to fifteen years will participate in the show.
"I am very happy to be part of the show. I am very happy to see the young talent. I am very happy to come here and support them and to motivate the youngsters," said the Queen of the Ring who is happily married to K Onler Kom and is a mother of twin sons.
