Who's who? 18 pairs of twins in 2 Scotland schools

New Delhi: For the staff at St Aloysius and St Timothy Primary schools in Scotland, teaching is an experience in itself.

It’s because the schools have the distinction of having 18 pairs of twins as its students.

"The schools I've worked in the past never had that amount of twins before. Maybe one, maybe two, I think probably there might have been three sets of twins. So having nine sets in one establishment was quite a wow-factor,” said a teacher at St Timothy's Primary School, Anne Allan.

And twins say it is great fun to be together at school.

"If you were just one child, you would be lonely. So I've got a twin to comfort me and everything. And everybody loves a twin, don't they?” said a twin from Aloysius Primary School, Paul.

Just a stone's throw away at St Timothy's, staff members often find it hard to say who is who.

Eve and Katie help their teachers by wearing different coloured hair ribbons.

But others like Daniel and Peter like to keep people guessing. But some teachers have learned to tell them apart.

"Once you get to know their personalities and you find one twin is a bit more outgoing than the other. They like to do different things in school and in class and because of that you can normally tell them apart,” said Helen McLachlan from Aloysius Primary School.

But while others are still learning to distinguish between them, these young twins continue to have their share of fun.
