New Delhi: If you think Manish Arora's latest collection has over the top designs, then you should know that this year, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week saw the most subtle ever collection by the designer.

"For me, it's always a challenge to do something different from last time. For example this time, for this collection, I have collaborated with the maximum number of brands — from Walt Disney to Swarovski crystals to Reebok and even Indian artist Subodh Gupta, they are all there," says he.

The colours were more toned down than ever, the lights and sound more sober.

But there were all the tantalising trademarks of the man known for his Fish Fry label — the over constructed clothes, the layers and the flashy embellishments.

Using motifs from Disney, the designer created a world of almost gaming wonder where Japanese Manga art influences meets Disney spunk.

"I think Manish's influences are very varied. Whether it was artist Subodh Gupta's installations or whether it was Disney's cartoons," says fashion designer, Anahita Shroff Adjania.

The designer has also signed a 10-year deal to make sunglasses, which will be his latest extension to his brand.
