New Delhi: Fashion designer JJ Valaya is all about rich hues and opulance. Day 4 of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week saw the master designer showcase his collection, and adding star value to the show was Rahul Dev.
A riot of blood red and black, chains at the hips, a whisper of white and J J Valaya showed off his vision for the kingdom of Valaya.
Pencil pants with surface embellishments, regal shawls, dresses, deftly structured coats were part of Valaya's new line called Base.
Harem pants, interesting detailing of buttons, flared skirts with wired hemlines, layered coats overall a collection as vibrant as the confetti burst that came at the end of it.
"I feel that the first segment was the best that I have ever seen of J J Valaya, in the sense that it is so wearable for everyone now," says fashion merchandiser, Sunil Sethi.
Adds fashion designer Manish Malhotra, "It was as grand as it gets. The whole red background completely attracted people."
