Will police be able to nab Hyd's face of terror?

Hyderabad: The main suspect in the Lumbini park blasts is about 25-year-old, 5 ft 8 inch tall and fair complexioned.

The sketch released on Wednesday by the special investigation team probing the case is based on the description given by a witness who was injured in the blast.

The witness reportedly saw the suspect enter the auditorium with a black bag. The suspect then placed the bag near his chair and left even as the laser show was in progress.

“We have made the sketch based on the description given by the eyewitness. The suspected accused actually sat adjacent to him. He was carrying a black bag and the description is more than 90 per cent accurate,” says Additional CP Crime Punna Rao.

The police have also announced a reward for anyone providing information leading to his arrest. The police believe this is a major breakthrough in the investigations.

But people are sceptical. After the blasts at Mecca Masjid about three months ago, the police had released sketches based on witness accounts.

But there have been no arrests since then. The SIT has also reportedly tracked down the shop from where the timer device used in the bomb was bought.
