Will submit resignation to PM at 4.30 pm: Pranab Mukherjee

New Delhi: Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will resign late afternoon on Tuesday from his post to contest the Presidential election.

Pranab said he will submit his resignation to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at around 1630 hours.

"I will put in my papers around 4.30 (pm). I will be leaving office around 4.30 (pm) and after meeting PM, I will be leaving for home," he told reporters outside his North Block office.
