New Delhi: Senior BJP leader LK Advani, rubbishing reports of cancellation of his Bangalore rath yatra, on Sunday said he will take his Jan Chetna Yatra to the city.
Advani confirmed his tour of the IT city saying, "I will take my Jan Chetna Yatra against graft to Bangalore."
Sources on Saturday had claimed that facing embarrassment over the arrest of former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa in corruption cases, Advani had decided to call off his rath yatra stop over in Bangalore.
They also added that Advani would tour other cities of Karnataka like Mangalore and Udupi.
However, they did not give any official reason for cancellation of the yatra.
The reported cancellation of the Bangalore part of Advani's yatra was being seen as the BJP taking the recent developments in the Yeddyurappa corruption charges as an embarrasement.
