London: India's Rohan Bopanna and his Chinese partner Jie Zhang crashed out of the mixed doubles after they lost their quarter-final match in Wimbledon on Thursday.
Bopanna and Zheng, who are seeded 10th, went down 2-6, 5-7 to the second seeded American pair of Mike Bryan and Lisa Raymond. Bopanna and Zheng could convert only 67 percent of the break points compared to 83 of the American duo.
The Indo-Chinese pair, however, were better when it came to service, hitting nine aces while Bryan and Lisa could hit only two. Bopanna and Zhang also committed just two double faults while Lisa and Bryan made three.

Lisa and Bryan next face the winner of the match between third seeded pair of Serbian Nenad Zimonjic and Slovak Katrina Srebotnik and Colin Fleming of Gibraltar and Su-Wei Hsieh of Chinese Taiwan.
Indian competition in the mixed doubles is still alive as the fourth seeded pair of Leander Paes and his partner Elena Vesnina will be up against the Belarussian pair of Max Mirnyi and Victoria Azarenka for a place in the quarters.
