Winning Parkal crucial for Telangana: BJP

BJP national secretary K Laxman has said that winning Parkal bypoll was very crucial for Telangana movement. If BJP faces a setback in the constituency it would create a negative impact on the future of the movement, he said.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Laxman said even after facing several bitter experiences, the TRS is still indirectly strengthening the hands of Congress at the national-level and at the same time moving closer to the YSR Congress in the state.
“When the Congress-led UPA betrayed people on Telangana statehood issue why is the TRS hesitating to support the BJP as only the NDA government is capable of delivering   Telangana state,’’ the BJP leader remarked. He said TRS alone cannot bring Telangana state and if it really wants Telangana state it should support the BJP.
The BJP leader urged the TJAC to rethink  their decision to support TRS in Parkal. He said this was right time for all the Telangana political parties and people’s organisations to strengthen the hands of the BJP-led NDA at the national level.
BJP spokesperson NVSS Prabahakar, party  leaders Ashok Kumar, P Sudhakar Sharma and others were present.
