New Delhi: Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar convened an all-party meeting ahead of the winter session of Parliament in the national capital on Thursday. The winter session, beginning on November 22, promises to be stormy. The BJP will give notices for discussion on price rise, Telangana, the Lokpal Bill, Rahul Gandhi's recent comments on Uttar Pradesh migrants, the cash-for-votes scam and the 2G scam.

"We want adjournment motions on several issues like rising prices and black money," Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj said after the meeting.

Describing the discussions in the all party meeting as "very fruitful", Meira Kumar said all leaders were "very keen" that the House transacts all business including passage of bills during the 21-day session.

She said the Opposition parties came out with 45 issues that they wanted to be discussed during the session. Though some of the parties felt that the session's duration is too short to take up so many issues, Kumar said no demand to extend the number of sittings was made.

"We have suggested that the winter session should be extended. There are so many matters to be raised, and so, we want the session to go on so that all matters that could not be raised in the last session can also be raised," JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav said.
