Mumbai: Software services exporter Wipro's IT services revenues grew higher than expected by 9.54 per cent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 8,314 crore for the quarter ended June 2012.
IT services EBIT too increased better than expected by 10.87 per cent QoQ to Rs 1,744 crore in the first quarter of FY13.
Analysts on an average had expected IT services revenues at Rs 8,145 crore and IT services EBIT at Rs 1,688 crore during the quarter.

Wipro's consolidated net profit grew by 6.7 per cent QoQ to Rs 1,580.2 crore and net sales went up by 7.61 per cent to Rs 10,619.6 crore during the same period.
These numbers were in line with expectations as analysts had forecast of Rs 1,578 crore for net profit and Rs 10,510 crore for net sales.
On Monday, the share fell 1.86 per cent to close at Rs 356.45 on the BSE.
IT services exporter expect revenues at $ 1.52-1.55 billion for the quarter ended September 2012.
