Mumbai: Right from his debut in Hindi films with Hey Ram, it's been seven eventful years of critical acclaim for actor Atul Kulkarni.

The actor is usually very selective about his roles, so it comes as a surprise to see this selective actor in a supernatural flick called Gauri - The Unborn.

“The film deals with a relevant issue, one that we prefer to ignore. It takes off from this issue and then develops into a horror story. It’s actually the emotional story of a family,” says Kulkarni.

For now, his bristling moustache is off and its for a project with his Rang De Basanti director Rakeysh Mehra.

“It’s for Dilli 6. We wanted to do something that would give the character a different look, and that is why we decided to give this look a try,” says Kulkarni.

Gauri - The Unborn will be taking on a huge film like Aaja Nachle at the box office this week. But that doesn't worry Kulkarni.

His future projects - ranging from Dilli 6 to Sagar Bellary's Kachcha Limboo will continue to provide him with a variety of roles that actors crave.
