New Delhi: India’s financial capital just can’t seem to shed its newly acquired unsafe-for-women status.
Close on the heels of at least three women reporting molestation on New Year’s eve, another shameful incident has come to light.
According to city police, a 40-year-old woman was allegedly drugged by four men and molested in a car in central Mumbai.
The woman, who works as a housemaid, was allegedly pulled into the car in Antop Hill late on Monday night by the unidentified men who forced her to down a soft drink laced with sedatives and then molested her.
The woman lives in the North West Mumbai suburb of Santacruz. Police say investigations into the case are on.
