HYDERABAD: A 19-year-old newly married woman was gang-raped by three auto-drivers at an old bungalow at Lakdikapul here on Thursday. Saifabad police arrested the trio within a few hours.
Police said, the woman, a native of Karimnagar, came to the city on Thursday night after a fight with her parents. Two auto drivers who saw her enquiring about her missing bag at Lakdikapul bus stop, approached her stating that they would find her bag.
“The two drivers took her in their auto. Two others joined them at Ravindra Bharathi and one got down from the auto. The trio took her to an old bungalow behind Nilankari and reportedly raped her,’’ police said.
The victim later lodged a complaint with Saifabad police.
