New Delhi: A 27-year-old woman gave birth to a baby girl on a Delhi Metro train on Sunday morning.
Juli Devi, 27, was later taken to hospital by Metro officials, who said both the mother and the baby were doing well.
The Faridabad woman gave birth at 7.28 am as the train was approaching the Central Secretariat station. She was on her way to Safdarjung Hospital.

With her at that time was her husband Sanjit Singh.
"As soon as we got to know the news from the Metro driver, we rushed the mother and the new born to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in an ambulance," the official said.
The expenses the family incurred at the hospital will be borne by Metro, an official statement said.
