World Twenty20 security setup to be reviewed

London: Cricket officials are reportedly set to meet with the British government to review security arrangements for this year's World Twenty20 in England, the first major international tournament since gunmen attacked the Sri Lanka team in Lahore.

The June 5-21 tournament is to take place at Lord's, The Oval and Trent Bridge and is set to feature both Sri Lanka and Pakistan, who were on their way to a test match in Lahore on Tuesday when the tourists were attacked.

British newspapers The Guardian and The Telegraph both reported today that England and Wales Cricket Board security adviser Reg Dickason and former senior policeman John Evans will be among those meeting with government ministers within the next few weeks.

The attack in Lahore killed six policemen, a driver and injured seven Sri Lanka players and a match official.
