New Delhi: In Geneva, the Doha round of World Trade Organisation talks are on the verge of collapsing and the US is blaming India and China for this.
US Trade representative, Susan Shwab says the talks are deadlocked since India and China want to selectively open their markets.
This is unacceptable to the developed countries, who are pushing for further liberalisation of trade in industrial and agricultural products.
India and other developing countries argue that further opening up of their markets to imports would make their poor farmers and small industries vulnerable.
