Bangalore/New Delhi: Karnataka Chief Minister DV Sadanand Gowda is in Delhi for a crisis meet with the BJP leadership after former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa raised the pitch of his revolt. Yeddyurappa even openly praised Congress President Sonia Gandhi and criticised Gowda leadership.

Singing a different political tune and embarrassing his top party leadership by praising Sonia just days after the Supreme Court directed CBI to probe Yeddyurappa in corruption cases. Yeadurappa upping the ante, nine ministers and nearly a dozen MLAs considered close to him have already send in their resignation to the Lingayat leader and now his supporter are demanding legislature party meeting be called to discuss the leadership issue.

Yedurappa's challenge has forced Gowda to rush to Delhi to meet the party top brass. The question now for the BJP is whether the former CM will actually pull the rug or is it just another pressure tactic before the expected cabinet reshuffle in the state.

The elections to the state assembly are to be held next year and the survival of the BJP's first government down south for the full five year term will depend very much on Yeddyurappa's game plan from here onwards.
