New Delhi/Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Saturday claimed "everything has been resolved" between him and dissidents in the state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). But the crisis isn’t over.

CNN-IBN learns that dissident party leaders, who are led by the powerful Reddy brothers, have rejected a compromise formula and insist on Yeddyurappa’s removal.

According to the compromise formula negotiated by the party’s central leaders in New Delhi, Yeddyurappa's trusted Rural Development Minister Shobha Karandlaje will be removed.

Assembly Speaker Jagdish Shettar, who is vying for Yeddyurappa's post, would be inducted in the state cabinet. Three or four ministers may be dropped from the state cabinet, but there would be no compromise on the Chief Minister's post, the party has made it clear to the dissidents.

Senior party leader L K Advani has asked Yeddyurappa to be more flexible and exhibit trust in others. The BJP will regularly review the state government’s functioning and may restructure the party's state unit.

That though has not brought peace to the state BJP. Tourism Minister Janardhana Reddy has rejected the compromise formula and wants Yeddyurappa removed.

Karnataka's Tourism Minister Janardhana Reddy has gone to Hyderabad to consult the 52 Karnataka BJP MLAs, who support him and have sent their resignation letters to him.

"(There is) no change in my stand on the Karnataka CM. I don't know where talk of compromise has come from," said Reddy in Delhi before flying to Hyderabad.

Yeddyurappa, who is visiting the Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu on Saturday before flying back home, said the party had “faith” in him. "Everything has been resolved....I am thankful to the party leadership for reposing faith in me. I will take everyone into confidence," he said.

"The BJP government in Karnataka will complete its full term," he said.

IANS reports Tourism Minister Reddy, his elder brother and Revenue Minister G Karunakara Reddy and their loyalist, Health Minister B Sriramulu, lead the campaign against Yeddyurappa, BJP's first chief minister in Karnataka and south India.
