New Delhi: With Karnataka witnessing increased political activity once again in Bangalore.
It appears that BJP is on the verge of making history by taking power for the first time in a South Indian state ever.
It has been reported that JD(S) leaders met BJP leaders and have pledged support to a BJP-led government in the Karnataka state. Since then BJP leader B S Yediyurappa has met Governor Rameshwar Thakur and submitted his claim to form a government in the state.
Former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has also been to Raj Bhawan to submit his letter of support for the BJP led government.
Earlier this month President's rule was imposed in Karnataka when there was a disagreement over the transfer of power.
The leaders of JD (S) in Karnataka had refused to hand over post of Chief Minister to Yediyurappa in accordance to the agreement between the two parties after the stipulated 20 months.
The Karnataka CM in the waiting spoke about the state BJP's plan of action in the next couple of days.
“Tomorrow we are going to have a peaceful demonstration. Afterwards it will be extended to other districts. We have already asked the Governor before evening he must decide. He must allow us to form the government. It is his duty to take permission from the centre and form the government. This is the fourth day. I have got full confidence in him (The Governor),” says Yediyurappa.
