Mumbai: After Jacqueline Fernandez, there is yet another Miss Sri Lanka, Gamya Wijayadasa, who makes her debut in Bollywood. Gamya who was crowned in 2009 features in 'Aalaap' in an item song, 'Chadhti Jawaani', rendered by the 'Agnee' band.
An MBA from the University of Melbourne, she flew to Raipur for the shoot. The film stars Pitobash, Rituparna Sengupta, Amit Purohit, Raghuvir Yadav.
PS: Gamya does not know a word of Hindi. She agreed to the offer without even hearing the song.
Ekta Kapoor to launch show based on real-life incidents
Like her diverse big screen projects, it appears that Ekta Kapoor is in for a new gameplan on the small screen as well. She is planning a show based on real-life incidents which is scheduled to launch in March. It will be a far cry from her saas-bahu soaps.
Anup Soni's father passes away
Ramesh Chandra Soni, father of actor-anchor Anup Soni passed away on February 21 in New Delhi. Anup and his wife Juhi Babbar have organised a chautha on February 24 at the Singh Sabah gurudwara, Vikas Puri, New Delhi.
