New Delhi: The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has made a claim that's likely to spark a political reaction, even though it was made in a light vein.
AP Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy said that the international airports in Chennai and Bangalore are almost part of Andhra Pradesh.
"We have three international airports. You are already aware of Hyderabad international airport. As far as we are concerned, even Bangalore international airport and Chennai international airports are ours," Reddy said amidst laughter.
"Since the Bangalore international airport is about 45 minutes from our borders, you see we are building a city there called Lepakshi Knowledge City. Even Chennai international airport is about 40 minutes from our border and we are building a major city and SEZ called Sree City there," he added.
