Former Miss World Yukta Mookhey who has been missing from the limelight for quite a while is back in Bollywood with her new movie Memsahab.
Sushant Mehta: Where have you been all this while?
Yukta Mookhey: I've been busy travelling and completing this film which has taken forever to make, but I've also been busy doing a lot of projects and assignmets in regard to apperances, launches, hosting a programme and raising funds for various organisations.
Sushant Mehta: So what is Memsaab all about?
Yukta Mookhey: Memsaab is the story of Anjali, a prostitute who is a victim of the '84 Sikh riots which happened in Delhi after Indira Gandhi's assassination. She has seen her entire family being killed in front of her eyes in the riots. She has these flashbacks and memories which keep haunting her and what she wants to know is what is it about her past that doesn't let her stay in peace.
Sushant Mehta: Many beauty queens havent clicked in the industry like Lara, Priyanka and Aishwarya but after them no one has really clicked.
Yukta Mookhey: In my case I'm only focussed on doing cinema that is more meaningful and that has more substance. I'm always going to be choosy about the films I take up and I eventually want to get into filmmaking. I want to direct and get into the whole process of creating a project.
