New Delhi: Zync has launched an Android 4.0 ICS-based tablet - the Zync Z-999 plus - in India. Priced at Rs 11,990, the tablet has a 7-inch LED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800x480 pixels. The company claims that the tablet's screen is scratch-resistant.
The tablet features 3G calling and data connectivity through an onboard SIM slot. Running Android 4.O operating system, the tablet has both 3G and WiFi capabilities.
This new tablet is an upgraded version of Zync's earlier Z-999 tablet. Powered by a 1.5 GHz single core ARM Cortex A8 processor, the Zync Z-999 has 512MB RAM.
Weighing 400g, it measures 8mm thick. The tablet has a 2 megapixel rear camera and a front VGA camera. It has an 8GB (internal) flash memory, which is expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card. The table comes with a 4200 mAh Li-ion battery.
The tablet will be available on e-commerce sites including Homeshop18, Flipkart and Infibeam. The Zync Z-999 plus tablet will come with a one year warranty.
The company is aiming to sell 0.5 million units by 2013.
