In an early morning attack, Naxals struck again in Jhargram in West Bengal. Thirteen coaches of the Mumbai-bound Howrah-Kurla Lokmanya Tilak Express were derailed and then hit by another goods train in Jhargram. Recent attacks show that the Naxals, increasingly, have started attacking civilians. Has the law and order machinery failed completely in the Naxal-infested states of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Andhra Pradesh? Should state police be given control to fight the Nxal menace instead of Central police forces? Why do you think the Govt has failed to contain the Naxal menace?
