New Delhi: Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray on Monday came out in support of his nephew Raj Thackeray, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief, who had attacked Bihar and its residents threatening to brand them as "infiltrators" if the state went ahead with its decision to take legal action against Mumbai Police over a vandal's arrest.
In an editorial in the Sena mouthpiece 'Saamna', Bal Thackeray said that the arrest of the man who vandalised the Amar Jawan Jyoti during the Azad Maidan violence earlier last month was a correct step and that Bihar was wrong to threaten legal proceedings against the Mumbai Police.
Raj Thackeray had on Sunday also threatened to shut down Hindi news channels for "misquoting" him.
The state Home Minister, RR Patil, however, assured them of protection and said that there was no need to fear....
