Chidambaram to review security in Kashmir Srinagar: Union Home Minister P Chidambaram will review the security situation in Kashmir Valley on Tuesday and take stock of security arrangements for the annual Amarnath pilgrimage.

During his two-day visit, the Home Minister will chair a high-level security review meeting in the presence of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and senior officials of the state police, para-military forces and representatives of state and Central Home department.

Chidambaram will later go to Pahalgam in south Kashmir where he will meet officials. The meeting is part of a series of interactions that the Home Minister started in 2010 with officials at the district level.
