Modi's elevation to boost BJP's electoral prospects: Sushil Nawada: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi on Tuesday hailed Narendra Modi's anointment as the poll campaign chief of BJP and said that the decision will boost party's prospects in the Assembly polls in several states as well as in the next General Elections.

"The BJP stands to gain immensely in the ensuing Assembly polls in Rajasthan, Chhatisgarh, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh, besides the next General Elections following the Gujarat Chief Minister's elevation as the party's poll campaign committee chief," Modi told reporters at a private function in Bihar's Nawada district.

The BJP will ride on electioneering and poll management by Modi to wrest power from the Congress in three assembly poll-bound states - Rajasthan, Delhi and Maharashtra, the Bihar deputy chief minister said.

He also sought to downplay Advani's resignation from the party posts reportedly in protest against the Gujarat Chief Minister's elevation by lauding the BJP patriarch as a "national and respectable leader" and said that the latter will be persuaded to withdraw his resignation....more
