I-Day: PM may speak on graft, black money New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be unfurling the national flag in a short while from now and issues of corruption and black money are expected to dominate his Independence Day speech at Red Fort.

The Prime Minister is likely to throw light on the measures taken by his government to tackle both the issues but he may not directly refer to Anna Hazare and Ramdev.

The PM will also talk about the drought and rain situation across the nation and steps taken by the government to help the farmers.

The PM's speech will touch on key bills like food security, FDI, bills for women and youth and mention the Centre's aid to tackle the recent crisis in Assam. ...more

Hyderabad: Security beefed up ahead of I-Day Hyderabad: Heavy security arrangements have been made in and around Parade grounds in Secunderabad where the Independence day celebrations will held on August 15.
