Bangladesh coup: Two ex-Army officers arrested New Delhi: The Bangladesh Army has arrested two ex-officers and a court of inquiry has been ordered against them over an alleged coup plot. There are serving and ex-officers who are behind the plot. Two top ranking officers also faced interrogation.

The Bangladesh Army foiled a coup attempt against the Sheikh Hasina government in the neighbouring country.

According to the Bangladesh Army, certain officers with 'extreme religious views' were behind the bid, adding that 16 officers, two of them retired, were involved in it.
