Thara sworn in as Legislative Council member

After getting the post of President of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy, Thara Anooradha, national award winning actress, who belongs to Bharatiya Janata Party was sworn in as a Member of Legislative Assembly on August, 24 afternoon. It was attended by some of the bigwigs of the Kannada cinema colleagues.

Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana, Dr Jayamala, Ramya Sudharani and others took part in the swearing in ceremony of MLC. Thara was greeted by the Karnataka Ministers Renukacharya and Shanker Murthy for her new job.



After Ananthnag and Jaggesh, it is Thara who is holding the post of President of state owned Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy and is also a MLA. Ananthnag was the minister of Karnataka state Urban Development Ministry in JH Patel cabinet.
