Las Vegas: "The Bold and the Beautiful" won drama series honors for the third consecutive year at the Daytime Emmys on Sunday night in a bittersweet ceremony that marked the impending daytime departures of two veteran soap operas along with Regis Philbin and talk show queen Oprah Winfrey.
Executive producer Bradley Bell accepted the trophy, saying, "It's over the top. We're so grateful."
Bell saluted his late father William Bell, who created "The Young and the Restless" and gave the younger Bell his start in the business.
"Dad, we did it," he said. "Happy Father's Day."...
