
Nagpur: A Nagpur court on Wednesday rejected the CID closure report in Yogita Thakre case and directed the agency to carry out further investigation into the death mystry of the 7-year-old girl.
Her family alleges that she was murdered and did not die accidentally as the CID probe concluded, and Wednesday's verdict gave them a new hope.
On May 19, 2009, Yogita was found dead in the boot of a car in the compound of Gadkari's home in Nagpur.
The police first registered a case of accidental death, but later a case of murder. The postmortem report showed 'smothering' as the cause of death. The post mortem also shows several abrasions and wounds on Yogita's body....
