
New Delhi: The CBI will be questioning former coal secretary HC Gupta on Thursday in connection with the coal block allocation scam. CNN-IBN has learnt that the investigative body will interrogate Gupta about why allocations were rendered to ineligible companies.
Gupta is also expected to explain on how he failed to check the incorrect information from various applicants. CBI has so far questioned two PMO officials in connection with the coal allocations.
HC Gupta was Chairman of Screening Committee and was Secretary Coal between 2006-09.
