
Pune: Even as Sachin Tendulkar is in Kolkata to discharge his IPL duties for Mumbai Indians, a special programme has been planned in his home state where 100 young cricketers will be present with former India captain Chandu Borde and former Maharashtra captain Shantanu Sugwekar. The duo of Borde and Sugwekar, who have had a close association with Tendulkar, will share their experiences with the budding cricketers during the programme at the Nehru Stadium in Swargate.
The 46-year-old Sugwekar might not have played for India but he had had the opportunity to lead Tendulkar for West Zone and their employers Sungrace Mafatlal.
"We played together for about 10 years but being busy with national duty he was coming there on and off," Sugwekar told PTI. But whenever he was around he made sure to play for Sungrace Mafatlal."
