
New Delhi: Home Minister P Chidambaram on Friday said that India's trade with China was booming and there was no reason to envy the country, rather it should be emulated.
He said China and India are two large countries and Beijing challenges New Delhi to compete with it on equal terms.
"We should not fear competition from China. There is no reason to envy China. If at all, we should try to emulate China," he said addressing the 7th Northeast Business Summit organised by the Ministry of DoNER.
Despite what is reported in some sections of media about growing competition between India and China, trade between India and China is booming and China has become India's largest single trading partner, he said....
