Delhi: Traffic police constable run over by speeding truck

New Delhi: A 40-year-old Delhi Traffic Police constable was killed by a speeding truck In Delhi on Tuesday morning, police said. The errant truck driver was arrested.

Mahesh Anand, who was on his way to Delhi's Todapur traffic lines on his bike, was knocked down and crushed by the truck near east Delhi's Shastri Park area around 6.45 am, police said.

Truck driver Alam, 22, was arrested, police said.

The constable, who joined police in 1993, was posted with traffic police since 2011, police said....more
