
New Delhi: Two persons were arrested on Sunday for allegedly making fake driving licenses and birth certificates in north-west Delhi. Additional Commissioner of Police (crime) Ravindra Yadav said Babu Ram, 29, and Ram Singh, 37 were arrested on a tip-off that they along with others were indulged in selling fake driving license and birth certificates.
The duo were arrested from Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar on Friday, police said. The police have seized 21 fake driving licenses, 31 fake stamps of several State Transport Authorities, holographic stickers, a laptop, scanner and printer from them. After the arrest, Babu Ram told police that he has been carrying out this illegal business for the last one and a half year with the help of his associates Ram Singh, Dheer Dhwaj, Akram Bhodha, Ashok and Dharamveer.
