K'taka: Transfer of top Lokayukta cop sparks row Bangalore: A Karnataka Lokayukta police officer who investigated former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa is shifted out. The officer also claims threats from former prime minister H D Deve Gowda.

The senior police officer in the Karnataka Lokayukta, JV Gaonkar, was transferred out for writing that he was threatened by former prime minister Deve Gowda for ordering raids on his son Balakrishna Gowda.

According to observers, the transfer had nothing to do with Gowda, and everything with the probe on Yeddyurappa.
