
New Delhi: Jagmohan Dalmiya has returned to the corridors of power after BCCI president N Srinivasan, in an emergency meeting in Chennai on Sunday, distanced himself from the job and letting the former International Cricket Council (ICC) president into the breach until the spot-fixing probe is over.
The 73-year-old Dalmiya, who headed the ICC from 1997-2000 before taking up the BCCI reins from 2001-04, is widely credited for bringing money into Indian cricket and transforming the perception that the board was a pushover.
