Sony Xperia P to get ICS upgrade from Aug 19 New Delhi: The much awaited Android Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for Xperia P smartphone will be rolled out between 19 and 25 August, the electronics giant has announced through its Facebook account.

Notably, Sony had earlier announced the roll out of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for its Xperia P smartphone in the second week of August itself.

Sony Mobile has also officially confirmed that the ICS upgrade for the Xperia S will be arriving later this month and not any later than that.

The Xperia P is the smaller cousin of the Sony Xperia S that was launched in the Indian market in April this year. The Sony Xperia P is based on Google's Android operating system and has a 4-inch scratch-resistant TFT touchscreen with a resolution of 960x540 pixels. The phone comes powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor. The device comes preinstalled with Android 2.3 but Sony will now be upgrading the device to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich later this month....more
