
Lahore: The ICC is concerned that the three suspended Pakistani players - Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif - might not be getting the legal representation and advice they require in the run-up to the governing body's full hearing in January.
The hearing will decide whether to stand or dismiss the spot-fixing charges against the trio.
Not just the ICC but even the PCB legal department had doubts about the Pakistan-based lawyers who, they feel, are yet to devise or adopt a strategy to defend their clients.
Going from the statements being made by Salman Butt and Mohammad Amir and their lawyers after the appeal hearing against the suspensions, one gets a feeling that the legal team has still not grasped the spirit of the ICC anti-corruption code of conduct or its procedural issues, a PCB source told PTI....
