In Alipur, a police constable shot his brother-in-law and his mother dead before committing suicide. In Bindapur, six people died after a jilted lover went on a shooting rampage. In Swaroop Nagar in outer Delhi, five people, including the two assailants themselves, died after the two men went on a killing spree. In Rajendra Nagar, a cardiologist was killed by an ex-Army commando. Mayur Vihar area of East Delhi remained cut off from the rest of the city after a riot claimed one life and left 32 others injured.
