
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday appeared to have finalised the formula for the leadership change in Karnataka. According to sources, while the party has decided to make former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa's aide Jagadish Shettar the CM, it is likely to send Sadanand Gowda to the Rajya Sabha.
Following a meeting of the BJP, sources further said that KS Eshwarappa is slated to be made the deputy chief minister of Karnataka.
They also said that Chief Minister Sadanand Gowda is likely to be "accommodated with dignity" in the form of a Rajya Sabha membership.
This comes hours after Gowda said that he was ready to accept any decision of the party high command. Sources say that the BJP high command has decided to replace Sadananda Gowda with BS Yeddyurappa loyalist Jagadish Shettar as the Karnataka Chief Minister....
